3rd Annual InterFaith Bridge Builders Awards *Private Dialogue with: The Most Rev. Donald W. Wuerl, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Washington Honorees Msgr. Raymond East (Roman Catholic) serves as the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington as Dir., Office of Black Catholics. He is Vicar for Evangelization, Pastor of St. Teresa of Ávila in SE Washington and travels widely as a preacher & musician. Dr. Suheil Bushrui (Baha’i) holds the Kahlil Gibran Chair for Values & Peace at the Univ. of Maryland where he previously held the Baha’i Chair for World Peace, 1993-2005. The Hon. David King (Latter-day Saints) was the U.S. Representative from Utah and Ambassador to the Malagasy Republic and Mauritius. He has served extensively with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washington and Haiti. Bishop James K. Mathews played a central role in the founding of the InterFaith Conference in 1978, while serving as Bishop of the United Methodist Church’s Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference.
